Tuesday, June 27-Sandy Klop of American Girl Fabric will present a program . She will also hold a workshop with her Wagon Wheel paper pieced pattern. The cost of the workshop is $50 and the pattern is $9. Contact Kathy Mueller at lapkat@charter.net for more information. This should be a fun workshop. There are a few openings left.

BRQG Meeting Reminder!
Our next guild meeting is Monday, April 24, at Beechwood Church, 380 Douglas. The meeting begins at 7:00. There will be social time at 6:30 with refreshments. Thank you to those who volunteered to bring snacks.
Our program for the evening will be presented by our own members demonstrating their favorite tools. Come learn something new!
Don’t forget about our Facebook page. It is available to post pictures, quilt information, or anything quilt related that members might be interested in.

Frieda Anderson Presentation – Tonight
Tonight we were pleased to view a colorful presentation by Frieda Anderson as she showed her progress over the years from a traditional quilter to a modern quilter- her use of color sets apart her work as does her designs. She showed the dyeing process and took us through all of the steps she does to accomplish her design elements
2016 – October – Debbie Grifka Class & Guild Meeting Program:
Did you get to meet Debbie Grifka of Esch House Quilts last week at the West MI Quilters Guild show? She had a vendor’s booth there and told me several of our guild members had already stopped by and mentioned they were taking our class on October 24. Debbie was selling her book and patterns and had a lot of her bright and lively quilts on display. She even had the slats pillows that we will be making.
We do still have several spots in the class available. Cost is $35.00 plus the purchase of her book Lines by Design. The book will be available in class. There is a little precutting to make the class go faster. I did mine in under an hour and that included ironing my fabric. The class is on October 24, from 9:00-4:00, in the lodge at Beachwood Church. Call Kathy Mueller at 616-399-4685 to join this fun group.
Don’t forget, Debbie will also be our program speaker at our meeting on the evening of October 24 when she will share her story of becoming a modern quilt maker and designer.

Ken Kutzel from Saugatuk will do a trunk show of his antique quilts. Members are invited to bring one or two of their own antique quilts for show and tell.

Debbie Grifka from Ann Arbor will present a lecture on how she became a modern quilter and what that means. During the day she will do a workshop. Sign up for the workshop at the August meeting, at the Sew-ins in July or September, or by mailing the completed form to Kathy Mueller. It will be online soon.
November 28, 2016
Working with Wool. This will be a hands on project taught by guild members. Everyone will have the opportunity to make a small ornament or gift. There will also be a display of members’ wool projects.
