Tick tock, tick tock…..time is slipping by…….don’t be left behind!!!!! The bus is about to leave for BRQG Shipshewana Extravaganza, sponsored by BIG RED QUILTERS GUILD. Well, not until Saturday, October 22, 2016 to be exact.
Join us for a beautiful autumn (quilt filled) day in Shipshewana, Indiana!!
The colors of autumn are everywhere with pumpkins and cornstalks dotting the fields before the first snow falls in northern Indiana. Sit back and relax while wandering the Amish countryside, hear renowned Amish Quilt Author/Historian Rebecca Haarer speak and present her trunk show. You will enjoy a family style Amish Thresher Dinner at The Carriage House on the Topeka farm of our Amish hostess Elaine. Plus you will have ample time for shopping in the morning and afternoon (walk off those carbs!) at the many well-known quilt shops before returning to Holland.
Our bus leaves 8:00 AM (sharp) from Holland Sam’s Club, US 31 and James Street, Holland
Returning 7:00 PM Saturday evening.
Ticket price/per person:
Before September 1 – Guild Members $75/Nonmembers $85
After September 1 – Guild Members $80/Nonmembers $90
Ticket costs includes:
- Round trip transportation via luxury motor coach (B&W Charters)
- Plenty of time for shopping at Yoder’s, the Cotton Corner, Davis Mercantile/Lolly’s & Little bit of Lolly’s quilt shops, Rebecca Haarer Antiques & more
- Family style Amish Thresher dinner (Ham and Chicken, tossed salad, homemade breads and spreads, buttered vegetables, mashed potatoes w/gravy, chicken dressing, noodles, choice of 3 pies, coffee and tea)
- “Trunk show and presentation” by renown author/Amish Quilt Historian Rebecca Haarer
