Hi Quilters!

Our next sew-in is Monday, February 27 at the Lodge at Beechwood Church, 895 Ottawa Beach Road in Holland.  The meeting will be from 6-9.  There will be a hands on “iris folding” quilted greeting card project. If you bring a machine, you will be able to paper piece a heart for your card.  Bring a neutral colored thread, fabric scissors, and a pair of pointed scissors to cut card stock.  Had sewers will need to bring a roll of scotch tape and pointed paper scissors.

Thanks to  Nora Slikkers, and Sally Leep for signing up to volunteer to bring snacks to this meeting.

The church provides all facilities to our guild free of charge.  We don’t have enough tables in the Lodge so they must be picked up from the main church building and transported to the Lodge every time we meet there.  Our members have been doing the heavy lifting and transporting.  Considering this situation, we are asking for donations to purchase more tables to keep in the Lodge.  Please consider donating.  Any amount would be appreciated.

February 27  Sew-in in the Lodge from 6-9

March 27  Workshop with Frieda Anderson at 9am in the Lodge with a program in the church in the evening.  Refreshments at 6:30, program at 7:00.   The cost of the class is $50 for members and $60 for non members.  There is also a $35 kit fee which includes fabric.  See the guild website for the class materials list.  www.bigredquiltersguild.org
